Methods of Creative thinking.
Mind Maps are commonly used by designers to generate idea, and help them to think and generate different ideas. Mind map is first Tony Buzan. Other than generate new ideas, mind map can help find solution for a certain problems. Mind Maps are commonly use because it helps people to visualize the problems.
there are two types of mind mapping, the first one is Logical mind map, this kind of mind mapping directs us to stereotypes, every words and images put in the mid map is straight related to the main subject through its links.
The second one is associated mind mapping, map is using random word to link another word from central subject that do not related from the central subject.

The Man Who Invented Instant Noodle
Momofuko Ando, he was a Japanese-Taiwanese business man. born on March 5th 1910 died on January 5th 2007. Founder Nissin Food Products co. ltd, and the inventor of instant noodles and cup noodles.
Ando was born in Taiwan, and moved to Osaka, started to make salt, then became a citizen of Japan. He was in jail for two years because of tax evasion. After World War 2, Japan was in food crisis. Ministry of health in Japan urge the citizen of Japan to eat bread out of meat flour provided from America, but Ando thinks noodle should be more familiar to the citizen of Japan compare to bread. So there was his idea.
After many trials and error, Ando introduced the first precooked instant noodle called Chikin Ramen. On September 18 1971, he introduced the first cup noodle, called "Kapura Nodura". It was a booming business.
Thanks to him, i can enjoy noodles when im hungry.

Lesson 2: novelty,creativity,innovation and invention
Lesson 2: novelty,creativity,innovation and invention
Novelty, is define as the quality of being unique, novel and new. However there are two types of novelty, subjective novelty and objective novelty. Subjective novelty is the form of something new in a group of people, subjective novelty is the kind of novelty is something that is new to all humanity.
Creativity, again? Definition of creativity has been argue by a lot of philosophers through out the years, "The best way to have a good idea is to have a lot of ideas." by Dr. Linus Pauling.
Dr Linus Pauling is an American chemist, he introduced the chemical module and rank as the most important scientist of the 20th century. He define creativity as combination of many ideas to form new one, that is better than existing ones.
innovation, always confuse with creativity, they are two different things actually, there are two types of innovation. Continuous evolutionary innovations and dynamic continuous evolutionary innovation. Continuous evolutionary innovations are innovation that improve product quality and characteristic without changing the product. Dynamic continuous evolutionary innovation, needs user learning because it is a product that is completely new.

Lesson 1: define creativity.
Define creativity. Wow! it is a very hard task. In my opinion, there is no definite meaning for CREATIVITY. Everybody view creativity as a different term, different view, and different opinion. For me, i might view creativity as hard work.
To be creative its not supposedly have new ideas, i could be the same things revolving around. Take Jackie Chan for example, his stun in every movie are repetitive, but with different people and different settings, it will look different, and this is what i call creative.
- Creativity is an ability. Ability to think off something new base on those existing concept. And this ability can be learned.
- Creativity is an attitude. Attitude to accept changes and not just keep on thinking in the old way. Keep on thinking in the old way will not developed any improvement and create new way.
- Creativity is a process. Process to make up something new. A new idea need a long and hard process. It wont just pop up suddenly.
this is what i learned from the class.

Lesson 1: Stereotype
What i had learn in class.
Some stereotypical people only thinks that creative people are born creative and you need to have creativity talent to be creative. It is not so, creative people is not about being talented, is about being hardworking and passionate through out you life. No one is born creative, and if you say you are not creative, you are just being negative.
If you say you are not creative. I will say you are just not trying hard enough. You have to stand out side the crowd, think outside the box, dont mind what people think do what you like, and like what you do!

Lesson 0
Introduction.
Hi, my name is Lawrence. I dont know why we are learning to be creative, because in my opinion to be creative is to think creative. No one can teach us creativity. Did anyone taught Thomas Edison to be creative? Did anyone taught Albert Einstein to be creative? NO! no one.
But i am not the head of FCM, might as well just follow the flow of it. I hope i can learn something from this class, and prove that i am wrong at the end. I hope this class is not boring, and also hoping this class will change the way i think.
